Our Leathers

Our Leathers

All of our leathers are full grain and sourced from tanneries in Italy and France.

All our leathers are vegetable tanned,  considered the most traditional method of tanning, it is an almost artisan process of tanning process that takes advantage from the tannic acids naturally found in plants.

Skilled artisans take around two months to produce leather using this technique which leaves a beautiful, natural colour and finish.

Vegetable-tanned leather is normally firmer in temper and holds and retains its shape over time.

By using vegetable tanned leather we are minimising our impact on the environment. Products made from vegetable tanned leather are biodegradable and can be recycled.

Every hide is also a by product of the meat industry.

Once we receive the leathers, we further seal the back of the leather by hand using a special paste to protect and maintain the raw look and feel.
